Reservations of Metsähallitus, Parks & Wildlife Finland’ reservable and rental huts have already been cancelled until the end of May 2020 in order to slow down the spread of the coronavirus. For the summer months, decisions to cancel hut reservations will be made based on the progress of the corona situation at the beginning of the previous month. For example, the possible cancellation of June reservations will be decided by 10 May at the latest.
If a customer wants to cancel their hut reservation for this summer, they can do so free of charge either directly through the Metsähallitus web shop or by contacting the visitor centre nearest to the hut. If the customer has already paid for their reservation, the money will be returned.
The due date for all hut reservations for the coming summer will be changed to 31 August 2020, but if the coronavirus situation eases, the customer must pay for their hut reservation before departing to the hut.
Under present conditions, huts will be open for reservations for 2021 through the Metsähallitus web shop as of 1 September 2020. In this case, huts can also be booked normally for the final months of this year. If the coronavirus situation eases before September, sales may begin earlier.
We greatly apologize for the inconvenience and uncertainty imposed on our customers in planning their summer programme, but we must make decisions based on constant updates of the coronavirus situation. We will provide information on our decisions as widely as possible. You can always contact Metsähallitus visitor centres for further information.
