Events

Farmari 2022 fair in Mikkeli 30.6. –2.7.2022

We took part in the Farmari agricultural fair that was held in Mikkeli. We spread information about the Saimaa ringed seal and its conservation, and about the nature destinations in Saimaa area. We promoted Our Saimaa Seal LIFE project, as well as the Nature Saimaa project and the Saimaa UNESCO project.

Saimaannorppamme (= Our Saimaa ringed seal) – a visual wind band production 1.11.2022–20.8.2023

A visual concert series production in co-operation by Metsähallitus Parks & Wildlife Finland, Rantasalmi Wind Band Society and Vision Saimaa Photography. A series of concerts is spreading the message about the Saimaa ringed seal with wind band music and nature photos in schools and different public events.

The production consists of little stories with atmosphere-fitting music and visual storytelling.
The music is played by Rantasalmi Wind Band, with performances of 10–14 players of different ages. The photos and videos shown in the concerts are the courtesy of professional photographer Timo Seppäläinen.
